Sneaky (cat!)

In Sneaky’s defense, he was a perfect gentleman when I met him.

Though I didn’t try to pick him up😉

He'll let people pet him, but not pick him up. Plus, in the last few years he has gotten meaner to other people and more clingy and affectionate toward me. He's probably about ten years old now and had a hard life before I took him in.

We had steak for dinner tonight. Sneaky came in and ate an ENORMOUS amount of meat. A couple hours later, he demanded a can of cat food, plus treats, then asked to go out. As I was letting him out, I noticed that he had earlier left a dead mouse on the doorstep! Second mouse this week.

He didn't eat this one, thankfully; I think he killed it while I was grilling the steaks and expected me to eat it so he could have more steak! 🥩

Sneaky's greed never ceases to amaze. Last night, he ate an ENORMOUS amount of steak. Enough to feed a good meal to three cats. He cleaned the plate in one sitting. Two hours later, he demands food plus treats.

As many of you know, I have learned to be a watchmaker (person who repairs watches) so I could service the watches in my own collection; and I've been buying vintage watches and restoring them so I can wear them and add them to my collection.

Sneaky does NOT like me working on my watches. I have a workshop set up in my basement. Whenever I am down there working, Sneaky either lays at the top of the basement stairs and watches me with a sad look; or he sleeps on the basement floor near my workbench, curled up like a normal sleeping cat. This is NOT his preferred way to sleep. I should be upstairs on my sofa or my chair holding Sneaky like a baby while he sleeps stretched out in my arms.
He acts like I'm tearing his heart out by working on my watches instead of holding him
