Sneaky (cat!)

He’s figuring that should get him a whole turkey next week.
🙂

He actually got turkey for dinner last night, before he killed the rat. This was his first rat, too; and it was huge. He probably did expect me to eat it 🤢

I've noticed that he looks sad when I pick up his kills and put them in the trash bin; so I wait to do it when he is in the house now.

Hey Chris...I'll tell ya, Sneaky hit the lottery walking into your yard...Thanks for sharing him with us...

He did. He had turkey for lunch and is getting steak for dinner tonight. Meat's on the grill right now!

He'll still complain and demand treats after eating a huge plate of freshly grilled beef, though.

Where is Sneaky? What is He doing? How are his servants? 🤔

I've been pretty busy. My watch repair business is starting to take off! I posted this on Facebook a few days ago, but forgot to put it here:

Sneaky came in last night smelling DISGUSTING. He had sprayed something outdoors and got it in his butt fur because he is so floofed out for winter. He jumped on me and wanted to cuddle and ended up getting his butt washed off. He spent the rest of the night sulking in a laundry basket full of my son's clothes, which he turned over before curling up in it.

Sneaky likes me to hold him like a baby while he sleeps, so he was heartbroken that I wouldn't hold him when he smelled so vile, lol.
Before anyone asks; yes he is neutered and still sprays. He was a stray I took in 7 yrs ago and he was not neutered then. The vet thought he was about 3 yrs old, which means he had already begun spraying, so neutering didn't make him stop. We have an agreement; I let him out on demand and he never sprays in the house, only outside.

New pics of Sneaky being cuddly!

Sneaky's been upset lately that I've been spending so much time working on my watch repair business, so I have been trying to spend more time holding him. He loves to sleep while I hold him during the day, and he sleeps with me every night. My son shot these new pics of us a few days ago.

My mom's cat Precious cleaning one of her front legs last night.
👅

She's a beautiful kitty, but she hates me. She used to love me; but eight years ago she caught me bringing meat to my parents' dog several times (this was before I had Sneaky) and she has never forgiven me!

She loves my dad, though! She was rubbing her face all over his hand when I shot this photo.

I just saw a MOUSE in my garage! A mouse. In my garage. My cat Sneaky has gotten lazy! He hasn't killed anything since last November! 🐭

Too much of the good life, Chris!

It looks like Sneaky is becoming complacent.

(Then again, maybe he's just becoming a more peaceful, albeit still demanding, cat. I still wouldn't dare call him a "kitty.")

Sneaky wouldn't let me finish my laundry; he claimed my dirty clothes as a bed as I was filling the basket!

He got mad that I took pictures and demanded to go outside. When he came in later, he ate then came in my bedroom and slept with me all night with his head on my arm ❤️

Furball Diaries, a Facebook page that makes cartoon illustrating stories about cats immortalized Sneaky and I in this one showing how Sneaky rejects all of his food unless I add treats to it.

Here's the original Facebook post and story about us: Facebook
For those who aren't on Facebook, here's the story that they wrote to accompany the cartoon:

-----------------------------

"Happy Furball Fan Friday! Please give a massive round of applause to this week's magnificent feline star, Sneaky, and his incredibly dedicated human, Chris Crawford!

When we asked for your weirdest cat habits across our Furball Diaries page and Cats World group, Chris (whom you can see in the comic strip!) shared a story that had us laughing out loud! Seven years ago, Sneaky was a shivering, homeless stray who found refuge with Chris on a freezing winter night. Fast forward to today, and that hungry little stray has transformed into the world's most dramatic food critic!
😹

Sneaky absolutely refuses to touch dry food. When Chris opens a can of wet food, Sneaky gets incredibly excited—he meows, purrs, and rubs against Chris's ankles in anticipation. But the *exact second* the food hits his plate, the show begins. He sits back, looks at the pâté with a face of absolute disgust and revulsion, as if Chris had just served him a plate of dog poop! He will sit there and refuse to take a single bite, pouting and following Chris around to complain about his 'starvation,' until Chris acts like a gourmet chef and adds a mandatory garnish of kitty treats or real meat on top. Only then will the master manipulator finally eat his dinner!

From a shivering stray to a pampered king who demands gourmet garnishes and loves to be held like a baby by his favorite human (and only him!)! What a journey, Sneaky! We are so glad you found your forever home with Chris.
❤️
