I think its a case of simple supply and demand. If people want it badly enough they will pay the asking price.

No a vacuum willl cause the lubricants to evaporate and outgas. Put it in a container pressurized with a noble gas such as Helium, that cannot chemically react with anything in the camera.


Probably should use a glass container so you can at least see the camera.
