So, does spending money obtained from a camera sale constitute as a trade?

The only scenario that involves cash that I would consider a trade is when camera B is more expensive then camera A.. So camera A plus some amount of cash would be the trade for camera B.

If on the other hand u sold camera B and later use the money from the sale to buy camera A to me that is not a trade, since the transactions happened at different times..

Hmmm I think this is going to be a long one year for u🙄 I don't think I could last the year myself..

A, What else can you do with it?

A1, Get it as folding cash and burn it,

A2, Put it in a bank and forget it forever (unlikely; you're merely/mostly deferring spending it.)

Of course, if you make a profit on it after all expenses taken into account then you are a wicked trader and we'll shun you and they will tax you...

2nd Q, why are you worried? We all do it; apart from the profit bit in my case.

(EDIT) PS You could always give the camera to a charity shop and avoid all thoughts of trade. Trouble is, someone might then mention that they bought one exactly like your for a pittance in the same charity shop... Personally, I like P&S's but don't want to fill the house with them, and so most go to charity after a while.
