It really is a nice camera, I wish I used mine more, shortly after I bought it however I rediscovered my obsession with film which seems to come in and out ever year or two. Now however it functions as a very nice scanner for my negatives and on occasion product shots in the studio.

The kit lens is good, but coupling it with the LUMIX 20/1.7 is Great .

It's my 'go-everywhere' camera....

I use mine all the time with the 17mm. I use to use the finder also but not to much anymore.
I plan on getting the 20mm even tho it's not as good for me with the FOV but I just can't resist....
I just got the G1 also with the kit zoomie....I think I made a mistake but it's too late. It's not the Pen...
The Pen is elegant and the G1 is like a military tool....
not that there's anything wrong with that.....

So what did you do for the scanner? Did you essentially create a black foamcore box/snoot that the camera sits ontop of?

I need to get a hybrid film scanner or something because i have way too much backlog of c41 and B&W for projects im working on.
