Who sez a 21mm equivalent can't be used on a gig?
😉

Brooks Plaubel Veriwide 100, Kodak E100G, super ultra crappy scan using my iphone 8 and dropping the film onto a light table, with nothing holding it flat!
I just wanted to see how it looks before I whip out the Z7 and copy stand.

Thanks David. The colours were all from the film - this is an unedited shot.
One thing is I never noticed this kind of vignetting before with this camera. So I am looking forward to scanning it fer real in case it is the iphone that has emphasized it.

FYI the film expired in 2007. Shot at box speed (kept frozen until used)

Huss,

Great friggin shot bud! Saw it last night and would love to see a hi-res "scan" when your done working it!

This is the type of scene that makes a Michigander long for the west coast.

Since I bought the Veriwide, my GW690III has not been used. What is interesting, and very clever, is the Veriwide keeps a piece of film under the pressure plate when you are done 'rewinding' it. Intentionally so that there is always tension on the film roll until you unload the camera, to prevent fat rolls (the roll loosening up). I wish my GW had that feature because I've had several fat rolls with that camera, no matter how careful I am with it.
I also wish the Fuji had the silky smooth and quiet shutter release of the Veriwide.

For sure. Living in Michigan, south east part in my case, is really tough for one interested in making pictures. My cameras have not been used in months.

That's looking really fantastic and fresh, 12 year old film!
Lovely flowers there, I miss my Mediterranean spring having moved up North but I have a shot of similar scenery in my archives. Have some Provia awaiting the season. Looking forward to the 120 release of E100.

GW690III user here too and agree about the coilgun sound of the shutter 😛

I may use it for more street stuff than I am used to later this month. Of course the lens is not really comparable being a 38mm equivalent. Cherry blossoms coming, and intention to drag a friend for environmental portraits. I really don't feel the limitation of having a wider angle for people because of that. However, I haven't really used UW such as 21mm.

Well, you can use both as I feel that shooting B&W and color alongside is a bit tough with a single camera so there's the reason to get the GW along.

Yes the vignetting will always be there. I have this lens on a recessed Sinar Norma board, they unfortunately did NOT make a center filter specifically for the 47mm F8 Sup Ang. That would be nice to have. You are utilizing the majority of the viewing circle with the Veriwide.

I love this lens I use it for 2x3 on my Sinar Normas. Here I am experimenting with the (much bigger) Schneider 75mm F8 Center Filter, attaching it to the 47mm F8 with the thinnest step ring I could find. It will be interesting to see if it will work. It might be but I not sure at all about it. Center filters were designed for specific lenses for a reason.

I'm still looking for a freshly restored Veriwide for a cheap price. But with the above lens ^^^ I can do moderate camera movements on 2x3. But of course not handheld!

Same shtick, you can even see the reflection of the iphone case logo in the lower center of the image! And that vertical line is the opening edge of the plastic negative sleeve..
