so much for street shooting!!

"hey, is your camera sick or something?" 😀

At least you can knock out someone with one swing of that if you get robbed on street. But probably most of us won't be carrying anything more expensive than that camera. 😀

Ah, 250 shots with a knob rewind. Must be fun after shooting... 🙂

Actually, you don't rewind the film. It is taken out and put in a continuance film processor. We had a couple of the processors, and a few Leica and Nikon bulk film cameras in our lab at NPC(Naval Photographic Center). I owned a Nikon F and a 250 back, back in the early to mid-70's. A real pain in the ass, but I could shoot for 3 days without ever worrying about running out of film. Not practical unless you are doing recon aerial photography.

The late George Gordon Carr once covered photokina with one. I remember seeing a row of them on his sideboard: maybe as many as a dozen. Using one is surprisingly like using an ordinary Leica. You don't rewind: they're cassette-to-cassette. As far as I recall George had a daylight developing tank (Russian?) with a 50 foot/17 metre spool.

Cheers,

R.
