Does the image have merit, or is it just a post processing horror?

I'd like to see the original before the post processing pixies got to it! :D

Good that you're exploring your other side Frank ... not sure that it's 'you' though?

They were taken with an app called ToonCamera, so these are the originals.

I'm kind of complicated, Keith.

I remember photobucket used to have an app on their site that did the same thing ... scary!

You'll put illustrators out of business :)

Photoshop's Watercolour filter will achieve something similar. It can look good in street shots where there's lots of colour reflected off wet pavements.

It might put illustrators out of work but getting a "Bande dessine" together might prove to be a lot of work.

For the real quality thing check out Enki Bilal, Bourgoin, Loisell, Francois Schuiten et co

for what it's worth... coming from a design background and a heavy photoshop user I'd stay away. Photoshop filters or instagram filters, they are all still just filters.

At first, I was horrified. The more I look, the more interesting. Don't like the one with the piano, but the other two are growing on me....

Having a little bit of graphics and art in my background, Frank, I like them. Not for everyday stuff, but good for illustrative purposes.

The one of your pooch looks a little bit like one of those "paint by numbers" kits they use to sell. I guess if the subject is right, not to much fine detail I mean, then it can be interesting.
