i really need to read a book or something...

which is what i started doing last night...'365 questions about lightroom 4'...

...and i find out that i can open my raw files (from the fujis), turn them into dngs and then export them as tiffs to pse for 'editing'...where i can process them simply in my normal routine!

life is once again back to normal...

And best of all the original DNGs can be processed differently as many time as you'd like because the original is never modified.

Export to PSE does reduce the image from 16 bits to 8 bits though. You can do PSE processing in Adobe Pro color space though.

I though I'd mention the processed PSE can be imported back into LR as well which helps with organization. Converting the imported tiff to DNG in LR also reduces the file size, which isn't that important these days.

it just means that i can take my time learning lightroom.
my normal pp time in pse is less than 5 minutes.

i save all my images on 2 external hard drives...none on the computer or in pse or lr.
