So who out there has the M9 with the highest shutter count?

Took me a while to figure it out... but unique img ID 5C1B looks to be 20939 shutter actuations. I think it'll still last for a while.

"M9 info" app tells me the latest image is #142256. I use the camera for work as well as personal projects, so it gets a fair amount of use... :)

When I brought mine used last year the dealer said it had some 55,000 and so I've tacked on to it a bit..still going strong..

Wow! You guys are wayy out there. I am barely above 3K in 16 months. At this rate mine will last the rest of my life.

I'm with Pioneer, and may not even be so advanced since I bought the Mono. Same old, same old, too much work too little time. Maybe I should retire again?

Good to see there's a lot of Ms powering on with relatively high counts ... they will never be a Nikon but it's good to know their capabilities. :)

With the exception of the 14x,xxx count they're all very low. 14x,xxx isn't really that high either. When I sold my last 1d2 canon it had well over 250000.

So what chance of finding an M9 with a shutter count of 250,000 then? :D

No idea how many are in professional use. For example when I had retail fashion accounts it wasn't unusual to shoot 75 rolls of 120 a day three days a week. Over a few years this adds up.

A good friend of mine had a studio and shot weddings, ball teams and portraits. He had several film canon pro bodies that had the shutter replaced multiple times for each body. Just guessing I'd say he got 200,000-250,000 frames per shutter or possibly more.

My business has ramped down a lot as I get ready to retire this year but in the busy years my E6 and lab bills ran over $100,000 a year for my studio. Under all this use I never had to replace a shutter. The three Rollei Sl66 bodies I had in service only required one shutter repair.

I have seen an M8 with more than 200k actuations. It must be around 250k by now if still working and used by the same person.

My M8 is nowhere near that. It can take me months to add 1000 frames on my M8, although I use it all the time. When I dust off my Canon gear and shoot it for a day, I will easily add 1000 frames.
