So, Xpan vs XPan II? Is it worth the extra $$$?
One factor might be that the II is "newer in production" and hopefully more reliable (i.e. bugs worked out). Is it true, or relevant?

I had the same dilemma recently. In the end, I got the Xpan v1. The main difference is that the Xpan II shows the shutter speed in the viewfinder whilst the Xpan shows it on the LCD panel at the back. If you can live with this restriction, then the XPan is much better value for money. The optics are identical. Oh, the paint comes off more easily on the Xpan.

Either version, what makes a bigger difference is how many shutter actuations...this can be checked on either. If possible, do so before putting the money on the table.
