If something catches fire, it will be the cells you charge, as these are much weaker than the power source. Test them all at home. In any case, I would not want to place a charger directly on dry grass, the manuals usually ask for good ventilation. Bring along a reasonably fireproof board (a Melamine cutting board would do) , a porcelain dish or something similar to place the charger on, in case you can't find or clear enough of a patch of bare earth or rock for charging.
