Sold Summaron f3.5 and Summaron f2.8.

Bought Canon 35f2 and Hasselblad 40 (non T*).

Pretty even up, money-wise. How'd I do, do you think?

Not great, but it's wide and medium format.

35mm is not my favourite 135 format focal length.

Money-wise, I think you did OK. I have the 35/2.8 Summaron and the 40 T* CF. I think they are both great (and there's no difference between the 40 C and the T* except the coating), but I would never let go of my Summaron for a 40 Distagon, or anything else!

Money-wise you did OK Frank.

Lens-wise, both lenses enable you to do more than you could before.

Enjoy !

Roland.

That was a good swap or you, Frank. The 40mm lens will give you great MF images and the Canon lens is known for its qualities.

The 40 gives you an alternative to an SWC. I hope it works out well for you, something I should think of too.

that f2,8 summaron was a killer lens, albeit a tad slow for available light. but it was a very good copy -- I remember it. it close focussed to 70cm; so it seems you gained a stop to f/2 while giving up 30cm. the rendering is an

Yes Thomas, that was the lens that came from you. I was proud to own it, but hardly ever used it.

I also recently got a Canon 35f2.8, so I still have a vintage look 35, with a speed advantage over the Summaron f3.5 I sold.

I'm most excited about the Hasselblad 40. It's a stop faster and retains reflex viewing over the SWC, but is much larger.

Like I said, it's difficult to hit a moving target.
