Sold a photo for a book cover

Congratulations Chris. I know the people that own that publishing company. They used to live directly next door to me. I'll keep an eye out for the book, they're well sold throughout the city.
 
I love the photograph and it works very well with the cover design. It's always great to see a RFF member do so well. And you used my favorite camera, lens, and film combination, though far better than I could have!

Congratulations! I admire your work and have appreciated your advice on OM topics in the forums. I hope the book leads to more success and the recognition you deserve.

Cool! I'll never get to meet them because of the distance, but the people there that I have dealt with have been super nice.
 
Congratulations Chris. Very nice image, one that I would call "multi-purpose" in that it can be used/interpreted in a variety of ways. I applaude the company's selection and their good taste.
Don't spend all that money in one place ;>)

Very nice Chris, selling our prints, being published, is a desire I believe many of us amatures have. Buck up now! Your a PRO now so go sell another. It's that first one thats the hardest. (or is it the next one that's the hardest) Anyway nice going!:)

Its not the first, I've been doing this for 11 years. Most of those years were a struggle to survive though because I wasn't selling enough to live and couldn't find a job. Now I'm selling enough to live and don't care that there are no jobs (unemployment where I live is near 30%!!!). :p
 
Congratulations, Chris, and let's hope these people use your work again, and again and again... and that it leads to other publishers to take a look at your images (BTW, I find them great too!).

I'd celebrate, of course. :)
 
Chris that's fantastic. The way you exploited DOF in that photo is very creative, almost three dimensional. Hurrah for Chris and RFF!!

Now I can go to the book store and say "Hey, I know the guy who shot that cover...He's the 'Doll Whisperer'..."
All kidding aside...Great Job!!!
 
They say you can't tell a book by its cover - baloney! - I'm sure the book will be great because it has a great cover!

Congratulations Chris, You are fantastic on here helping everyone out with encouragement and advice and this is well deserved.
