Solms Camera Show

OK, since it takes place in Solms a town near Wetzlar (Leica City!), it only is useful hint for Germans or other people from central Europe - or for wealthy guys who can afford to come to Germany just for a camera show.

March, 31 - Solms Camera Show with a huge collection of Leica gear! Fantastic!

Hi Kent

While you are in or by Weztlar can you post pictures of the Carl Zeiss facility in Wetzlar.(outside) I have read that they make binnoculars there. I have read that they have other facilities in Germany too. I am writing a paper about Carl Zeiss and I need some pictures of the company outside property to show in my powerpoint show. If you can't thats ok, I am just asking.

In Solmes is where the factory is actually located. Just follow the signs.

I haven't seen your question. Now it's too late, I guess.
There will be another camera show at the end of November. Perhaps, I will go there again, but it depends if I find the time.

Leicas were made in Wetzlar AND in nearby Solms according to the great 7-page Leica article, in a recent New Yorker. This was mentioned in another RFF post. Tho' I bookmarked it in another computer, I want to go to the nearby American Center in Jerusalem and photocopy the article.
