Hi to all...
I got a summaron 50mm 2.8 M mount (the old version) on the bay site... When I move the focusing ring it move aperture ring also... Is it common??

In other order... I note that my M6 ttl RF is a little bit misaligned, when I focus to infinite the horizontal lines came like this:

------------------------
------------------------

when they have to be only one line:
------------------------

Is it easy to fix?

Ohhh, I hope you can understand what I mean... (my Spanglish don´t help :bang🙂

Thanks in advance
Sebastian

If the focus and the aperture rings are easy to turn then moving one should not turn the other, no matter how cramped the two rings are together.

the focus helicoid might need cleaning and relubing.

the aperture blades could be greasy and dirty and this makes it hard to turn the aperture ring.

the lens should be sent for servicing.

the vertical alignment of the RFs on later M's is best left to the pro camera techs.

Thanks for your answer...
When I move the focusing ring I move all the lens... The tube and the front element, but the blades don´t move/close...

the aperture blades should not move when you only turn the focus ring.

you could be fat fingering the lens and turning both rings at the same time,.. till you get use to the ergonomics of this lens.

with the 50mm original M Elmars, the infinity lock is useful for changing F stops with one hand.

Ok, I understand now... so it is normal that when you don´t lock at infinity the tube is moved when you move the focusing ring... Is it right?

right, if your infinity lock has been disabled use two hands, one to hold the focus tab( AKA the disabled infinity lock) and the other to turn the aperture ring.
