Some M8 Portraits

A couple shots from a portrait session I did with my friends for fun. It was very laid back and relaxed. Most of the pictures I took were goofy, but I got a couple more "serious" pictures that I liked. Feedback and criticism is appreciated! Im definitely looking to improve my portraiture.

All taken with M8 + Nokton 50mm f1.1 except the 2 full length shots, which were a 90mm summicron e55

Looks fine to me.

Great photos!

I've just started using my M7 for portrait work. I guess my only criticism is to fill more of the frame with your subject.

Also: Are you shooting these wide open? somewhere around f/1.4 or f/1.8? I've been finding that f/2.8 seems to be as wide as I go for portraits so that both the eyes and most of the face are in focus.

Great shots, thanks for posting.
Do you find the bokeh smooth or a bit harsh?
FWIW, I consider the 40mm f/1.4 bokeh to be a bit busy sometime wide open.

Looks like a fun time!

Some are better than others, though-I think the best thing is to pay a lot of attention to everything in the photo-often hard to do when you're having fun, but it makes a big difference in the final outcome.

The second shot has a great moment, but the background distracts the (my) eye. #6, though, is enhanced by the trees, and looks like a clothing catalog shot.
