What do you think, would I be violating copyright or ethics if I reposted them?

My first thought would be "yes", but others, esp. moderators or Jorge, might chime in.

aren't they, gasp, violating a non-disclosure agreement by posting it to a website?

Don't be so grumpy Manolo
What I see is that the camera handles highlights and tonality quite well. And at my age any woman under a certain age is pretty

Is it imagination or is the woman in the picture the same woman as the woman in the postor? How can tha that be? If so, this could develop into a thread as interesting as the Seal one

To be honest those pictures could have been taken on a D100 a 10d or anything else. You just cannot tell with a compressed jpeg on a computer screen. I would advise all RFF members with M8's on order to go and lie down in a darkened room for a month or so before you irrevocably damage your mental health. I saw M8 photos taken by a magnum photog 3 weeks ago in the British Journal of Photography and I couldn't tell much from those either. The bottom line , there is no direct competition for this camera and those who have ordered it will be happy with it or they will convince themselves they are happy with it (spending £3000 can do that to a person).

I'm with the poster above. To me those shots say nothing at all about the real characteristics of that camera. Those images could have been shot with any of the decent brands of today.
At the end of the day the M8 will no doubt be very good. That said, it will only excel when connected to a photographer who can use it creatively. Give the M8 to my wife for a day and she will still produce the same crap as if she was shooting her three year old fuji ;-)
I for one just think that the quality of digital cameras of any brand are on the way up, and the price tag for the M8 is going to prevent many people from owning it.
Of course the style of this camera is superb and that is without doubt a plus point.

Well said. People didn't choose rangefinders over film cameras because they took a superior film emulsion. Rangefinders fit a certain style of shooter that prefers them for a certain style of shooting.
I just registered because I'd like to go back to rangefinder shooting. Unfortunately the M8 madness is giving the forum a dpreview-like character.

Actually this site is pretty genteel and thoughtful most of the time. Although we all do our share of "pixel peeping", there is much less of it by far than your average dpreview type site. After all, if raw performance numbers was the driving concern of the members of this forum, we would all be using DSLRs like everyone else. Hopefully, the M8 madness will attract a few new adherents that will grow to understand the advantages (and esthetics) of rangefinder shooting. On a practical note, my back was the first part of me to appreciate the rangefinder camera.

This lady was posted before, even the link to the DNG files, so copyright was conceded by the owner,as far as I know. It was dismissed as OOF. I don't think so; I reworked from the DNG file, and I think it is in focus. Sorry I cannot give it full size, but at full pixels it is not bad at all. I'll do a 100% crop later.
And here it is:

Definitely not OOF.

Jappv,
I did the same here and I was stunned by the quality of that image. It even looked good at 200%...300% even if I sat at arms length from the screen.
This photo could easily be printed to poster sized gallery prints and the fidelity would be amazing.
