While I'm waiting for my M2 to return from CLA, I've developed and scanned some MF stuff taken this summer.
Since this is a RF forum, I've posted my Rolleiflex photos to photo.net - here
Some interesting effects, e.g. orange filter, shallow DOF, etc.
Seems like the 3.5 Tessar still has some life in it - one of the shots (stone gate, i.e. "Hvar 4") has "plasticity" comparable to Leica.
Any comments, critique.... ?

Skip the camera (well not really, but..) I want to know about the subject of Airshow 2 because I do similar airshows :)

But I also admire the camera too I must admit!!
 
Denis - Nice shots but really appreciating the MF requires real prints blown up. Nevertheless, yours are cool shots. I have a 50 year old Rollieflex that's a kick to use: the click of course is virtually silent and focusing is a pleasure. Scanning the B&W negs is also quite easy. I put 2-3-4 rolls a month through it in downtown Chicago and always get into a few interesting conversations with old timers and younger photogs.

Do you ever shoot chromes? I have several uncut rolls of unframed trannys nesxt to the windows in my office and the color blows people away - tricks 'em into thinking I know what I'm doing!

As much as I love my RF's, I tend to favor my SLR's with long lenses for Airshows. This is with the Nikon F Photomic and a Reflex-Nikkor 500mm F8. The Girl on the Plane was in the middle of a Loop for this shot.

I have a Rolleiflex E with f3.5 Planar lens (incredibly sharp) and a Rolleicord III with f3.5 Xenar lens. Below is a shot done with the 'cord.
 
I got this one of Matt Chapman doing a low and slow photo pass. I used a 300mm 2.8 on a digital SLR. I like that I can see his hands on the stick and throttle, as well as the trees and the guy in the foreground for reference to his altitude and distance.
 
And you won't see the full scale aircraft doing this maneuver!!!

"Airshow 2" is actually a model airplane :)
Something like 4-5 feet long, if I remember correctly...

The occastion was the "open day" of a local flight school. The weather was nice and sunny, and I thought there would be some nice photo opportunities - it was also interesting for the kids. The scattered clouds were also an occasion to try my DIY orange filter for the Rollie (a long story).

The camera, as you can see in the photo I attached, is almost mint. It wasn't cheap, but everything works like new - even the light meter. I like the Tessar 75/3.5, since it gives a slightly "wide" feel to the shots. My self portrait in the "Single photos" folder on photo.net was also shot with it, using the Rolleinar I close-up lens.
All in all, a very nice camera - and I love the shots it produces. I use it mostly for B&W (like every other manual camera I use :))
 
Nice CAP! and Capture! The airshow at Bealeton used to fly a Cap 20. I will have to dig out some shots, stalling in the plume of smoke.
 
All nice shots with the Rollei Denis, and a awesome looking camera to boot! Definitely a keeper.
