Some news about Okvintagecamera.com

Mounting of new roof is in progress,
and my family going to Greece for the rest.
Travel was prepayed before, and no reason to refuse rest on seaside.
Rest is very needed for us now.

Wow! I haven't been in this sub-forum for a while. So, So sorry. I have an idea how you felt and feel. I went through a house fire some 25 years ago. It can really be a bummer. We lost a lot of family treasures. About 8000 to 10000 slides were damaged beyond real use. Many color and b/w negatives as well. I also lost some camera equipment. Furniture, damage to the house, clothes, books, electrical equipment as it get covered with acidic water.

But one must move on. We had a really good insurance agent who agreed they would pay for a complete rebuild rather than the repairs they first authorized; and it actually saved them money even though we got some upgrades.

But none of that was easy to get through, so as I said, I can feel your pain.

Hope all is going well with you. I will just add what others have said. If money does become a crunch factor, many of us here would be happy to send you some help, big or small, as we are able. I know you won't ask if you don't need it, as I have heard many times of your integrity. But it will be there if needed.

I hope all is going well with the rebuild and life adjustment.

very sorry to hear about this.... I hope you re-build quickly and with success! It would be a shame to loose a man like you in the business! All the best!!

Hi all, I am return from Greece...
It was a nice rest, sea and sun, tasty Greece cuisine, and Greece wine.
Looks like it's a good time to change life...
In 90'th I was a C programmer, so I still got contacts in local programming industry.
Now programmers have a high salary, and this job is really international...

Looks good!

Looks good!

I see it looks like your carport has been cleared away also. Things seems to be coming together nicely. By the way I really like those metal shingles, I would put those on my house if they were sold in the US.

Some final pictures of house.
No carport with overhead gate now, but sliding gate mounted to concret base of carport.
Exerior works completed, internal works are close to finish.

This is the sort of news that is so good to read. It must be a huge relief for you and your family. I'm delighted to hear that you are nearly done—congratulations, Oleg.
Cheers
Brett

Excellent news Oleg.

It appears that the house will soon be back in order. Unfortunately it sometimes takes longer for peace of mind to return.

I wish you and your entire family good fortune and good health.

I am happy about the end of your problems Mr. Khalyavin. I sent you three e mail about wrong spares (take up spools) for Zorki4k you sent to me, but I have no answer from you. Maybe you changed your e mail?
Regards
Enrico Carena
