I was looking through some documents at my parents' last week and came across 100's of photos I'd either never seen or hadn't seen for about 30 years.
I thought I'd stick a couple here for you as they were taken with an old Voigtlander Rangefinder (haven't a clue what type it was but I remember seeing it with the rangefinder bit on top).
Both were taken when my Dad was a London Fireman.
The 1st picture is of his colleauges at D22 Acton Fire Station (London Fire Brigade) during the 1977 Firemen's Strike.
The 2nd is of the funeral of a fellow London Fireman killed when he fell from the top of a 100' turntable ladder whilst carrying out a drill at Wembley Fire Station in about 1965.

Thankyou for sharing these, it's a great thing to be able to pass on stories and images of ones parents.

Thanks everyone.
I wasn't too sure if I should post them as I didn't take them, although my Dad is happy for them to be shown.
These photos have never been seen by anyone except my Dad, Mum, Wife & Me, so you're all the first outside my family to see them!

Love the first shot. It almost looks like a band promo picture from the '60s

WOW! Thanks so much for the compliments and comments, I know Ken (my dad) will be chuffed.
Right, as asked here are a couple more.
The first one is my hero......my dad. He was the reason why I joined the Fire Service (although I only managed 2 and bit years before I was injured and had to leave.....he managed 27!).
This was taken by a mate, with Ken's camera, when he was in the Middlesex Fire Brigade; this would be prior to 1st April 1965 when the Middlesex and a number of other Brigades joined the London Fire Brigade.
They've returned from a shout, hence the smoke blackened face.
This was a shot, taken with the same Voigtlander, whilst Ken was on holiday in Devon. This is Topsham's crew with their pump dealing with a grass fire.
These pictures are slides and I've quickly snapped them with a Canon G12 and Pentax K200D whilst holding them up to the light.....bit Heath Robinson I know!!

27 years years as a fireman- wow.
I agree, your Dad is quite the hero.
You might want to look for a slide duplicator to fit the Pentax, quite a few were made with T-Mount, and you can get a K-Mount adapter for it. That just gave me the notion to try some with my Leica. I have a Duplicator in T-Mount, with an F-Mount on it. I also have the F-Mount to Leica adapter. Focus is preset.
