Did a little maintenance today and took a quick shot with my wife's Canon SD800:

Agfa Isolette II, Voigtlander Vito CLR Deluxe.
Both with Honeywell "Tilt-A-Mite" Flash guns.

Sorry for the crappy pic at night and bad light, I'm packing them up for a day trip tomorrow.

is it still possible use old flashes like that ? (sorry if too obvious question :) )

Yes it is, as long as the capacitor is still good.
Bulbs and batteries are still available.

And, Actually, If you are even a little bit handy the capacitor can be replaced by soldering in a more modern version.

Blue bulbs for color, Clear ones for B&W.

Capacitors are cheap. You can even put a much higher quality one in for a few dollars (literally, cost of shipping plus less than a $1 will get you something 1000x better)

They look awesome. Any picture of how the flashes look? Perhaps I should find one.

This is quite inspiring. I bought a CLR (the same as pictured) ex-eBay a couple of years ago. It's a fun little camera. And it came with two umbrella-type flashes similar to these shown, and a couple of boxes of Philips bulbs, but I didn't realise you could still get the batteries required. They'd look great attached to some of my other cameras, too. How neat! I may have to find some. Can anyone suggest sources, please?
Regards,
Brett
