Great cyber punk photo, first one of this type on rrf? I like the idea of the sabre, but the use of non standard dark slides is a bit of a put off for me.

Actually, I just drilled holes in the regular holders and they work fine. Otherwise you can use the Saber holders of Grafmatic.

The 120 Symmar variations are really nice lenses and a lot less money than the popular 110XL. I'm not sold on the camera but everything I've seen from Chamonix has been first class.

I have a Chamonix 4x5 F1 also, it's a high quality tool for sure. I kniow Frank you have some complaints about LF RF, and sure enough, just posted this on LFF:

I sent the Saber to adjust for the B setting on the shutter. All these back and forth shipping knocked the vertical alignment off.
No problem, I said. I adjusted the vertical alignment on the Epson R-D1 a few times, and Lo and Behold, I found even a thread on the LFF that says:
So opened 2 screws and there it is, a little screw on the right! Turn turn turn, hmm... how comes it does not seem to affect the vertical at all "Ah Cr*p, the screw fell out!" Oops. Along with it, a little metal arm came off and there is a little roller thingie :-(
Now I need either a detailed instructions/diagram on the Polaroid 100 RF or I need to send the unit back for repair. Sigh...

Chamonix sent me a picture to show where the roller goes. So I did that. Then I opened up everything, didn't see anything adjustable, putting things back together and the vertical alignment is just about perfect!
So don't know what I did, but it's more or less the right thing 🙂 Hopefully I will get some instructions soon.

is a legendary hole-in-the-wall cheap noodle place in SF Chinatown. The building has 2 floors and it is very narrow. As you walk in Sam Wo, the first floor is the cashier (cash only) with the tiny kitchen in the back and you immediately have to walk upstair.
Food is carried up through a "dumb waiter," and the real waiters (well, at least one of them) were legendary in their rudeness and terseness. The idea is that for $3.50 (when everyone else charges $5 to $8), you get a dang fine bowl of noodles or porridge, so stop yer complaining!
Sadly it was shut down in April 2012 with no sign of returning.
