Hey everybody! I've been using ilfosol-3 to process my film but I've had this bottle for about 10 months now so was weary of using it again.

I went to the store and they had none in stock so picked up some ID-11 as I thought it would be a good time to try a powder, I don't develop very often so this might be a better solution for me.

Just so I don't mess this up I'm hoping to get some reassurance that what I'm going to do is correct:

  • I'm going to mix up a stock solution of 1L.
  • My tank needs 650ml to process two rolls so is it as simple as taking 325ml of stock and 325ml of water for a 1:1 solution?
  • If so, that means I won't get more than 6 rolls out of this 1L stock, unless I use it at 1:3?

Yes, If you want a hassle free, long lasting, cheap and liquid developer for medium-high speed films, get HC 110, or Ilford Ilfotec HC.

That probably will not increase the number of rolls by much, as there is a minimum developer/film requirement. The closely related Kodak D76 needs around 125ml of stock developer for each roll of film.
