Hey guys.....When I was in Myanmar taking photos I knew that it would be awhile before I could post anything up from the tri-x that I was shooting, and I knew that some of you guys might want to see some of my photos....so, I shot a couple of rolls of xp2 and E6 stuff just for fun....these photos are nothing serious and I think they are quite different than the bulk of my work that I shot on tri-x.....so in a sense, I shot these just so I could post up here......I remember putting a roll of xp2 in and saying ok, this is for the guys and gals at rff....so here you go.....

I am going to start developing my tri-x stuff later this week, but it is going to take some time before I get everything organized.....in the meantime, I will try to post some more "snapshots" up....cheers, michael

Wow! Michael, you're absolutely right, we've been waiting for these shots eagerly. These are really really good and bring back many good memories from Burma. The beautiful lady with tanaka spots is my favorit.

Great photos. Really liked the old woman leading the goats. Also interesting to see the women with the tanaka. If it is a sunscreen, do they try to tatoo their faces with the sun or just keep from being sunburned?

All great shots. Look forward to seeing more. Nice eye on these.

Hey thanks guys for the comments......I am supposed to get a couple of rolls of E6 back from the lab tomorrow......I am going to start developing the tri-x this weekend, that is the stuff that I am excited about.....

"If it is a sunscreen, do they try to tatoo their faces with the sun or just keep from being sunburned?"

Hello oftheherd, I am a little confused myself in regards to the tanaka.....I was told that they use it so they don't get burned from the sun and that it also makes the skin soft and nice....but I saw some girls wearing it at night too....I also some some different designs that some of the girls had on their faces....men wear it too, but not as much as the girls....

Hey thanks again for the comments.....unfortunately, I didn't shoot a lot of color, I shot mostly tri-x....I do have a couple of rolls of slide film that I should be picking up tomorrow....I know that when I was shooting the slides, the color was amazing...so hopefully, I have something worthy of posting up from those rolls......

here is another one...sorry about the repetitiveness here....I don't have a lot of color stuff....but I like this one
