Hello Raid.....I used an m6ttl and an m3....my lenses were a 15mm, 28mm elmarit v3, 35mm nokton 1.2, 50mm summilux v1, and a 90mm summicron (I think the same version that you have"big bertha")...for the first couple of posts....I used fuji 100 and xp2...the last 2 posts (6 photos) I used kodak 100 vc slide film.....I shot about 95% of the trip with tri-x which I will start developing tomorrow....

thanks for the kind words...I appreciate it.....
cheers, michael

You have an excellent eye for perspective and composition, you have done a lot with excellent subjects. When does the book come out? Sell a few prints, should easily pay for the rebuild of the M6. ;-)

Regards, John

Great preface, Michael... If you shot all that Tri-X you showed us, developing will be a loooooooong work... Your shots are inspiring always... Thanks for giving us the pleasure!

Cheers,

Juan

Thanks again guys for the positive comments.....I am not really sure what I am going to put up on the web yet....I am going to get everything organized and printed first and then send some stuff to my agency (Gamma)....when I get everything set, I think I will be in a better position to know what I am going to show....I know that at some point, I will have a show of my work, not sure if it will be here in Bangkok or back in San Francisco.....a book would be nice too, but I think that is later down the road...I am trying to focus on just getting everything in order now, I have a lot of work from this part of the world that not many people have seen....

I will definitely post some photos here, because I enjoy this forum a lot and I appreciate the help and advice that I have received from many of you.....

thanks again....cheers, michael

I am still developing my tri-x and I am a long way from finished....I just scanned my first black and white negative and I am not really pleased with the contrast...(I like the image BTW)....before today, I would always print the negs and then scan the print...I know that I can adjust the image in photoshop and all, but I will save that for a later day...

I really enjoy the process of printing black and white....

Myanmar...

edit...I just realized that at this size that it is difficult to read the text on the sign...I saw the sign the day before I took this photo and I was with a local, I stopped to take the photo and he told me not to, because there were police/soldiers under the sign and I didn't take the photo because he told me not to and I didn't want to jeopardize his safety (after all, he knows better than me) ...the next day I went back and took the photo....the girl on the bike just happened to come into the picture as I was taking it.....I love the propaganda

I'm really looking forward to seeing the bulk of your Tri-X shots. These E6 and C41 shots are wonderful so far.

I've been thinking about going to Myanmar for a while now. How did you find it? So many places say not to go, but the more you delve into it the more these warnings seem totally unjustified.
