A coated 5cm f/2.5 Hektor? Good luck with that one.
The Summarit is a better choice than the Xenon, better coating and optimized with newer glass types. That said, I like my Xenon.

Heh, the xenon and and the hektor are really expensive. I want some softer glasses, so I'm mainly going for uncoated ones

A nice faster 50 is the Canon f 1.5. It's not too big and the one I have seems to have been made well and doesn't have the haze issues common to some Canon lenses. The uncoated Summar is also a nice lens but really needs a hood.

Don't want a canon lens for some reason haha, but I actually compared between the summar and the summaron I have now, and the summaron seem to be a bit better to me

Agree about Summarit vs Hektor. If you don't have a Summitar I would suggest one. Only problem is finding one with clean glasses
Really interesting lens with a bunch of character.

IMHO you can't go wrong with any of them. Probably Summarit for the speed but that depends on your shooting style.

I would go for 50/1.4 Summilux in screwmount. It will be large, but useful.

Jeez that's gonna be expensive!
Never been a fan of the Summarit. Amazing build, but heavy and I don't like the rendering.
No experience with the others in the list except for the 35/3.5 Nikkor. I'd suggest the f/2.5 personally, although I do own the f/3.5.

If you find a clean Summarit, that would be alot of fun. But there are alot of problem copies of that lens.
For F/1.5 I would get one of the Sonnars, since they have so much more contrast, are so much better with flare....alot more practical.
LTM does bring the price up a bit Canon, CZJ, or Nikkor, and a good J3 is worth 200 bucks easy, as there are so many bad ones.
Plain old elmar if you have a nice one is good, and so tiny. Daylight they are awesome. Of course if f/3.5 is OK that 35 nikkor.....much nicer FL on the street and more forgiving. I don't know that lens very well, though. Reading up, not much love. It's a leica copy but not as good (unusual for Nikkor), but the 2.5 everyone raves about. The 3.5 is tiny though. I'd do the summaron 35 over that one.
What was the best pre-war 35?
