Somebody knows this lens?

Hello,

some days ago I had a little GAS-Attack and I bought this lens for my Bessa R.
I think it's a Kobalux but I'm just wondering about the missing name and S/N.

Has anyone information regarding this lens?

I'm more familiar with the 21mm version, but Kobalux are generally considered very good lenses, approaching the image quality of Leica glass.. there are many articles online about them

That's what I hope, but I'm still wondering. On every Picture I could find was the name Kobalux (or Avenon etc.) and the S/N engraved on the lens. This one has only the engravings shown at the pic.

I saw somewhere a Kobalux "Bower" lens with no ser #. Stu

Interesting. Kobalux sold under the names Avenon/Bower/Pasoptik as well as Kobalux. John's lens is definitely a Kobalux because they did have an M-Series that included a 28 as well as the 21 that I had. Below is a pic of mine that shows what the "normal" markings on these lenses looks like.

This is Avenon 28mm 3.5.
In Japan, brand new one sells for about 42,000 Yen.
This one is what the Japanese called 5-star in 'Cost to performance ratio' in lens test.

Thank you for the confirmation, I think it's been a good deal.

The lens seems to have been the easy part, now I have to find the original shade and front cap. But for this parts I got time, the lens won't worry when I don't use the original ones 😀. If anyone has got thes parts and doesn't need them please send me a pm.
