Someone has to ask... How does the Canon 0.95 sit on the ZM?

So if you've got a converted canon 0.95 lying around...

What gets blocked out if anything?

My guess is the framelines will become a little harder to define. But will the RF patch window be in clear view?

And shame on me for even bringing this up!

I also have a Noctilux and the 0.95 Canon blocks about the same. Focusing patch isn't affected as it was made for the Canon 7.

I have two Canon 50/0.95's. One sits on a Canon 7, and blocks 1/3rd of the viewfinder of the camera that it was made for. The other is a TV version of the lens, used with its C-Mount adapter and was bought for a "Sensors Unlimited" Infrared Sensor.

I use the Canon 50/1.2 for the Leica's. Uses 55mm filters, so will not block things. Also 1/2 the weight. I would buy an F1.1 Nokton rather than pay to convert the Canons. Someday I might convert the TV lens myself.

When I had my M-mount converted TV lens it blocked about 1/5-1/4 of the VF on the Zeiss - clearly visible but not a big deal - I could still frame a shot. The RF window was not blocked, but the RF illuminator window in the middle was partially blocked - the RF patch was definitely dimmer than when a smaller lens was mounted.

Thanks a lot, this is the information I was looking for. I might try picking up a pre-converted one.
