Someone with a CS IV/V/4000 or 5000 in the US?

Hi all,

I would like to ask for a favor from a US-based user of one of the 35mm Nikon scanners.
I wish to buy a SA-21 whose condition is unknown, and have a return privilege.
Could someone receive the thing, try it with a few strips on his scanner, and reship it to the US: Back to the seller if it's defective, or if it's fine to my aunt in Texas where I can pick it up. (goes without saying, all costs will be covered)
Unusual request, I know, but that would be very helpful...

A cautionary note: The operation of the SA-21 is OS dependent, at least on a Mac. My SA-21 works fine with Leopard, not at all with Snow Leopard. Otherwise, NikonScan runs on both operating systems with the film holders FH-2 and FH-3 without a hitch.

Anyone running the test for you should, therefore, already have an SA-21 that runs on his operating system, and it should be the same as your operating system. Someone else will have to comment on any problems in the Windows environment and on alternative scanning software.

This kind of problem stems from the fact that Nikon has not updated its software in several years.
