Buried Treasure.

Buried Treasure.

Went scrounging in Columbus Camera Group this afternoon, and found this -Original Hasselblad 30mm C Distagon Fishy Lenscap- for one dollar. Incredibly hard to find, and expensive, depending on the source. Mine didn't come with one, want to keep that big glass minty.

Nice work there! Keep them coming! I like the Burghausen photo, despite the use of IR film (generally dislike IR photos).

And congratulations on finding that cap - a real bonus. I hate it when sellers separate the caps for separate sale, or worse still, lose them.

OK Going to dust this Bad Boy off and take some kewl pitchers :)

I have a couple of ideas to get started

I remember when this was new (back in the seventies) it was like $4000+ US (in '70s $$$)

How about a duel??? :D

Terror & Holy Terror visit the Circus.
Hot-rodded Pentacon P6, Kiev 30mm Fisheye, Ilford HP5+ Shot from about a foot away; This annoyed my friend Norman (the Clown) whom I used to work with. This one works because of the circular nature of the circus ring

I owned the Rollei SL66 version of the 30 Distagon. It's a really fine lens and used it often for annual report shoots. I also had the Takumar 35mm for the 6x7 which is also superb.

I'm a big fan of the extreme focal lengths. For my Rollei 3003 system I had the 16 Distagon and the 16 Nikkor for my Nikon system. I foolishly sold my 8mm f2.8 Nikkor but currently have a 7.5mm f5.6 Nikkor. I almost forgot I also had the 8mm F8 Nikkor.

A company I used to do work for had a number of custom designed Coastal Optics circular fisheyes and 3 of the extremely rare 6mm Nikkor reflex fisheyes. I got to do some shooting with those beasts and they cover 220 degrees in a circular image. In the 70's I shot a little with the first version 6mm Nikkor that covered 220 degrees.
