Time to unleash the beast for a multiple Iron curtain car shoot on Monday. Shame there's no 120 film that I can find from parts east but that's photographic life.

Nice camera. There is Arista EDU Ultra, aka Foma Pan, from the Czech Republic. My FSU cameras seem happy with it.

I'd entirely forgotten about Foma, what an idiot! Just discovered that the Lomography Potsdam (Re-spooled Orwo uN54) is also available in 120.

I'll see if I can get a roll before Monday.

The Football Game

The Football Game

I took a few during our High School's last season football game with a nearby rival. I wish I could say they won but it was not to be. However, it was fun... cold but fun.

Here is a small selection taken with the Kiev 4a and the Jupiter 9 on Kodak Portra 800 pushed two stops to EI-3200. Please forgive some blur. Even at EI-3200 most of the shots were taken at 1/25 seconds at f/2 and my hand is not as steady as it once was.

The kickoff!!

And the crowd goes wild! (It was cold so I think the crowd can be excused.)

Zorki 4, Jupiter 8, any old film from discounter...
Before I got the film back I sadly sold the Zorki 4... but I still have another one. :p

Excellent results for pushing Portra 800 that much, and great job with the Jupiter-9 handheld that slow!

Thank you for your kind words Colton but you certainly don't want to use those photos for anything much beyond these posts. Even at that most, if not all, of those shots were pretty well braced.

However, I do agree about Portra 800 and I am a firm believer in that film for low light color work.

Well done to all comrades who participated in Red October.

I'm afraid I've barely shot half a roll of film over the month and I didn't even get to load up a Soviet Era camera :(
