she likes the way it handles. it is his wedding gift to her. i have to say, i liked it, too. handles far better than it might appear to do so with the short zoom kit lens.

Very forgiving woman. If I gave my wife a camera as a gift my return gift would be a black eye.
Actually its not quite so bad. Last year I saw a nice little Sony pocket digicam going for a good price and bought it as a gift for her on a whim. Its still sitting unused in my desk. She has shown no interest whatsoever. Its one thats mainly dsigned for beginners so I have little interest either so I have to find a deserving relative to give it tol.

it is what she wanted (for photo capability well beyond the phone camera and her old digital point and shoot). he got it at our only "pro" shop in the metro area. free lessons with their personnel are included in the price. i think that a very nice gesture. i suspect she will catch the photo bug big time ...
