I agree w/ Leica Tom. I also like the way the Canon 50/1.5 renders color:

Tom,
You win the prize! The top is with a Nikkor LTM 50/F2.0 and the bottom is with a Canon LTM 50/1.4. If I recall correctly, both were taken wide-open.
Jim B.
Looks to be a very very "late" 1956ish lens, nice nice 😀
Tom
Hahahahha!
Yes, that " lil" Nikkor HC f2/50 is one great lens! 🙂
Tom
It has that <EP> on the lens too...
It is... I love my Nikkor 5cm f/2 too 😛.
After comparing the Quinon to my rigid Summicron, I sold the 'Cron. Even with less sharpness I like the Quinon better.
Then I got a Canon 1,5. That one lost as well, even being faster. Also because of distracting out of focus rings.
On many threads, people speak highly of the Sonnar lens design. Other people's love of this lens design has sparked my interest in getting one. However, I can't figure out why people like the lens design so much?

Wish I had the balls to carry that camera around. Problem is, it's way prettier than I am; also, I'm guessing this is pretty much useless for someone trying NOT to get noticed when he's shooting.
But that camera is a thing of beauty, for sure. Nice work.
From what I have read they were originally developed due to their ability to control flare in the days before multicoating...I would assume that their original popularity is directly linked to better results due to less flare.
