SOny 900 preview

That does look really good, 100% VF and all.

Consider also that the new Zeiss Z[XE] lenses might not be made for Canon .... Sony might be the more natural partner.

The sample images are nice ... there's noise there at 3200 and 6400 but it's not ugly.

Well there's the new "ZE" lenses that were semi-unveiled over the weekend... Can't imagine what else the "E" would stand for except EF/EOS. Zeiss clearly makes FF AF lenses, so it wouldn't be a stretch to see a Canon mount available. Even if they were MF, I'd be interested.

Got any further info? Nothing on the Zeiss website.

Cheers

Matt

I only have one question: Is it adapter-friendly? for old manual focus lens users like myself, this is important. If the answer is no, then Canon is still ahead.

I have Minolta Dynax 7 SLR (same AF bayonet mount as this Sony have ) , and use M42(thread-mounted) lenses via adapter.

just wait until nikon gets their hands on that sensor. sony's image processing has never been as good.

I rejoiced when it was finally announced. I nearly died when I saw the price. I already switched from Nikon to Canon, now I may have to switch again when I upgrade to a full-frame camera!
