Hi all,

I'm having the hardest time trying to download the newest
firmware for my Sony A7 MKII camera. Is there a trick to getting
this right I use a Mac. :bang::bang::bang:

I gave up and took it to B+H and they did it for free. I'm not sure why Sony can't do software, but they just can't. I remember it being an endless loop of incompatible updates. It was infuriating, and I felt embarrassed to admit that I could not figure it out.

Thanks Chris, I purchased another one because I need the ant-shake and
I like the lens choices, It's just annoying.

I vaguely recall seeing some sort of errors when I tried to do the update on an older aluminum iMac + A7 Mk 1, and think I ended up doing the job on a Windows machine instead. Also make sure your USB cable is good: Some seem to be wired only for charging and not for data.

Did it, I downloaded Parallels that can download windows in a
Mac computer, so this morning I did the firmware. I think you
have two big companies apple and Sony and we just get caught
up in there games.
