Misleading title, and this bit of sophistry was exposed when this article was first published by the Sony Entertainment hype division.

Sony just announced that it is now #1 in the United States in the full-frame interchangeable lens camera market, overtaking Canon in both units sold and dollars generated in the first half of 2018

Heck, I just purchased a A7 off ebay used with only 4000 shots, going to get one of
the Samyang 35mm f2.8 lenses.

Not surprising. They have original A7 still availible as new and it costs next to Canon Rebel.

I wonder how slow is AF of Canon EF lenses on A7 series....

That's right You could use mounts on these camera's I still have one Canon lens
left a EF 24mm f1.4 I restored will have to try it out, thanks for the tip.
