Sony is thinking about investing 10% in Olympus

Guess what the 10% is not for photo side but turns out Olympus has a medical division. They want to do a joint venture...

Rueters reports that olympus is still reeling.

"Rocked by an accounting scandal over falsified financial statements and hidden investment losses, camera and endoscope maker Olympus needs cash to fix its finances. In the year to March 31, it booked a net loss of 49 billion yen."

They are one of the biggest in medical imaging, but you don't want to know what the imaging device goes. 😱

Where is Sony getting the money? It has lost a lot of money in the last few years. Perhaps Sony can rewrite it books a la Olympus!
