9 minutes to the live announcement. I've never waited for a live product announcement coverage from Sony (or anyone other than Apple) before.

The best camera is one that still works!
I have to confess I'm also watching the countdown!

Hmm from the vid it sounds like A7R is the one with adjusted microlenses but A7 doesn't?

Well, I canceled the A7 order.
And Pre-ordered A7R instead.

One nice touch is that the both primes (55mm and 35mm) use 49mm filter which was the common size for the good old OM Zuikos.

Btw the rx10 announcement was just plain disappointing. I was so hoping for an apsc camera.
I was hoping for ibis. Otherwise nice specs on the camera. But like Frank, this one I am in no hurry. I want to c how Fuji reacts..
Congrats and have fun w/ it...

I want it but I'm not preordering
. I need to make sure that the differences between the two include the microlens array and how RF lenses work on them.

OMG!!! Well at least you admit it
Downsides:
poor FPS, very loud shutter.
I'm pre-ordered. Wake me in December

I will add - if they can keep the lenses small and high quality, this thing is the same size as the om-d e-m1. I feel kind of sorry for the m4/3 partners right now...

I think this camera is quite possibly one of the best platforms to play with all sorts of lenses out there.

According to the announcement video
