ruben said:Two weeks ago I posted a thread under the title "Members 9,286"
Kindly notice that today (The Good Thursday ?*): "Members: 9,747".
This means a pace of 230 new members per week.
This means we will round the 10 000 in 7 or 8 days.
Cheers,
Ruben
(*) for a better designation, honouring our New Bartender, could anyone remind me what month are we living in according to the secular calendar invented bv the French Revolution ?
I think membership has been slow the past couple weeks Ruben, I suspect with the new news today we got a bump and with interest we will hit the 10,000 sooner than later, but I expected to have already happen.

Yes MWOOTEN,
You are right, excuss my misunderstanding (in addition to my ignorancy), we indeed are in the month of Nivose (snowy), as I became rather impatient and opened the Britannica Online. [What an irony to learn about the French Revolution from an encyclopaedia of a royalist land...]
Since I cannot see any linguistic connection between, "snowy" and RFF new era, or new bartender, I propose to see this historical day as The Good Thursday, more in tune with the fact that Jorge's head remained on place, and involved with RFF future.
A pleasure to have learned from you,
Ruben
PS:
The member 10000 will enter RFF at the month of Pluviôse (“rain,” January 20 to February 18).

...and then we should do something to celebrate. I doubt our new bartender will bye a round of drinks for the entire bar maybe we should follow some of your suggestions.
Ruben, you should start a "words/no-words" thread showing portraits of our favorite rangefinder camera the day we cross the threshold of 10,000.
Take care,
Michael

The German Leica forum passed 10K members a few days ago. I was pretty stunned by that as the discussion forum is pretty moribund WRT activity.
