I do not want to put a jinx on it, as I hope it is as nice as advertised. Just got a lead on it, and it should be here later this week. Been looking for awhile, and not the best time fiscally to get it, but did bought it anyway.
Any comments on the perfprmance of the 19mm lens are welcome. Healthy holidays!
Now, if I can just stop thinking about the 35mm f1.5 in the classifieds here....:bang:

hmmmm... I'm the opposite. Recently scored a nice deal on a mint 35mm 1.5. Would love to get my hands on a 19mm 3.5 for a reasonable price.
I hate to break it to you, but the 35mm 1.5 is fantastic. If I hadn't found mine, I would have grabbed the one in the classifieds and then sent it to Sherry Krauter for a "bath" to see if she could get that mark off.

Both lenses are very cool to have and use. I have the FL version of the Canon 19mm lens, shich is optically identical to the RF version.

Hope you are not planning to use it on an M9 -- it doesn't work. However, it is a wonderful little lens on the MP or other film Ms.

Ah $%^&*@#, I was afraid that the 35f1.5 would be excellent. Hmmm..and a lot less than a Summilux....
My 19 with finder was a reasonable price...

The 35mm F1.5 is alot cheaper than a Leica Summilux, and the 19mm F3.5 is alot cheaper than a Leica 21mm F3.4 Super Angulon.
I have both Canon lenses, and I think you will probably be well satisfied, when both arrive.
Meanwhile, Congrats! Enjoy the 19mm.

The 19mm lens kit (lens, 55mm Canon filter, finder, Canon front cap, and fitted Canon case in black) arrived yesterday. Stunning condition! Cannot believe I have this, at last. I will post some picks of it on my Flickr site. Still thinking about the 35mm f1.5 here, and still seeking the 25mm Canon lens. But I am very satsified with this beauty.
I'd like to find and get the proper rear lens cap. Any pics of it out there?

Hey Man,
Check this out, it works for me, but I have the Canonflex version with Converter B. Could work in the short term, while you search for the original Canon one:

I was lucky enough to have Al Kaplan advising me way back when to grab mine. I will never sell it. Looks like you have the same case and finder I have (finder has shoe on top). Sure looks great on that P.
Have fun with it. Great stuff.

Thanks. Love sharing this stuff with others. Very happy to have it. Looks amazing on the 7sz as well. Now I still seek the 25 and one of the faster 35s (1.5, 1.8, or 2).

Maybe. I can now do a 15-19-21 kit! You should see it on the Leica IIIF...Lenszilla.
Looking forward to seeing you and the others in Davis. Did you receive the pics of my double boxed black paint "red dot" F? If not, I'll re-send. Luscious!
