source for transparent vinil protections

Hi all

I have a special interest in keeping one of my Leicas as scratch free as possible (yes, while using it...). I know that some years ago, Aki Asahi was selling pre-cut transparent vinil protections for the top and base plates.

Would someone know what is the raw material for these and where to get them?
