Last winter I found a CC at a thrift store, and hadn't realized how good of a camera it was until I had the first roll developed. Fast forward 6 months, I removed the top plate to clean the RF glass. Put it back together, things were working great UNTIL....I lost the film rewind knob, probably while shuffling the camera out of my pocket and not tightening it enough when putting it together:bang:.

I've been looking at photos of other yashica rf's to see if there's an identical rewind knob on a more common model but none seem to match. Does anyone know of a reasonable replacement? CC parts cameras seem to be hard to come by. Thanks for your thoughts on this.

(Technically, its still usable, I just have use a screw to pop the back and change rolls in a dark room. Ugh.)

Contact this eBay seller....

Fotofila is the seller name

He's sold a bunch of the CC & CCN, Plus tons of Yashica RF's. Kind of specializes in RF cams. He must have a guy.

The other person I can think of is:

www.yashicaguy.com

Good luck

Thanks Bill, good idea. I'd seen Mark Hama's site for cleaning/repair but hadn't considered requesting parts from him. Will post an update on how it goes.
edit: took a look at fotofila's store too, will probably check that out if the first option falls through. Thanks!

I have tons of CC and CCN parts, let me know what you need. You can have what you need for the price of postage.

Thanks Frontman, I just PM'ed you. Mark Hama wanted $18 with shipping, which isn't bad - then again that's what I paid for my CC in the first place.

Some of you might already know this, but for Yashica parts 'bay seller "lakesuwa" is Kikuo Hama, who I presume is directly related to Mark Hama and does online sales of all kinds of Yashica parts.

I just bought a "FILM REWIND KNOB for YASHICA TL ELECTRO...", which perfectly replaced the lost film rewind knob for my CC. Hopefully this helps someone in the future!
