The photos with your smartphone are much better then the photos with the cameras so I guess that you should stick with it and abandon the cameras.

Thanks you like this better than the camera shots
Still learning on those cams as both are new to me compare to the smartphone on daily use basis

I thought so from the photos - I guess that you have started first taking photos with the device that doesn't have an finder so that it is more natural to you to compose and take photos with the display.
I am personally not an finder fanatic. I even do believe that the finders will mostly disappear from the cameras in the near future.

Not particularly likely. Finders have advantages in a number of situations. Display screens are like digital ground glass. Using one places the camera at arms length - poorly braced, greater separation from the subject. Not worse overall, or better, just different. But arguably (like ground glass) better or worse in particular situations.
But I think your point about familiarity is well made.
And the HTC 1 has a great camera and imaging software.

I disagree. I just looked at the other threads and there are good shots, however, Quan should be more rigorous in editing his pictures. There were too many mediocre pictures posted with the other cameras that distracted from the good ones imho.
Like the subject and composition of most of the pictures here, however, I dislike the smartphone rendering of these. Current smartphones are good (as is my Sony Xperia Z) but not even close to proper cameras. But the biting fellow is great

Thanks Addy for the compliment
I did not post only those better one as the theme is a trip and want to show what I saw. That trip end up I used 3 devices to capture depend on which one I can draw faster.....
Why bring 3 some may ask....as I just switch from DSLR and am not sure if RF suit me or not so aside my full time companion phone I have this LX7 to have the feel of zoom, now I think I can live with only RF for next traveling

I have the (older) EVO 4G. Does your phone have a much better camera?
The EVO as a 8MP camera, whereas the One has a 4MP camera.

The HTC One has 4mp to improve image quality. Nokia has 40mp, Sony 20mp, Apple 8mp and HTC 4mp, so... You can go all ways with these!
For web and smaller prints, 4mp will be more then enough.
