South Korea (a series)

currently the whole first page is filled with my pictures from my trip to Korea for the past 2 weeks. Please let me know what you think. For the most part I used the Lumix 20mm and J3 50mm 1.5 on my EP3. These were mostly composed on the rear screen and I used it as a backup to my Leica M4P for kodak tmax 400. (i shot some in grainy b&w and some in colour on some of these digitals and used silver efex.

some recent rolls came back, i used kodak portra 400 and fujifilm super mini for my film P&S, i have 9 rolls of kodak tmax and assorted b&w film coming back on wednesday. most of those are shot on Leica M4P. will update as i get them back.

I also agree some shots wold be better closer. I sometimes I have the feeling of my photography being a rail shooter and I just follow the tracks and shoot where I am. for candids I'm still not used to 28mm and prefer 35-40mm.

I was in Pusan for 16 months in 1955. Worked on Pier 3 unloading supplies for the troops. Pusan was mostly dirt roads then. I don't remember any buildings over two stories, even where people shopped. Spent a lot of time roaming the hills in and around the city and a lot of time with my off post girlfriend. Wish I had a camera then but did not get interested in photography until the war in Lebanon in 58.
The pictures today are amazing compared to what was, which was basically shacks and narrow dirt streets lined with vendors. Would love to revisit.

I guess the hills in and around are now part of the city. I was last in Pusan in 1987, dropping of a car for my return to the USA. So I haven't been back in about 25 years. From watching the Korean TV with my wife, it isn't the same country. You could not imagine the changes.
