South Mountain Park - Phoenix AZ

I will find myself in proximity of South Mountain Park in Phoenix Arizona next week with a couple of hours to spare before sunset. Can anyone recommend a particular hike? I'm thinking after a dry summer that there's not much colour so I am inclined to bring B&W film, am I right?
