Being a left-eye shooter, I recently contacted Sover Wong in England to inquire if he had ever modified an F2 so that it wasn't necessary to stand the advance lever off the body to activate the meter.
He replied that this was not among the many features he has custom-added to F2s in the past, but he quickly worked out the details and is now going to start adding a button where the self-timer is now located which will activate the meter as long as it is depressed. This will mean that in addition to the advance lever not poking us left-eyed folk in the right eye, all shooters won't have to take the camera away from their faces to activate or de-activate the meter, and it also saves on battery power.
I never use my F2 for work requiring the self-timer, so losing that feature for me won't be a problem.
I'm not an agent for Sover, so I'll not discuss the cost, as it isn't my place to do so, but I just thought I'd mention this because it only came about in the last week or two and he hasn't yet even mentioned it on his site.
