Is there anywhere I can get one with Soviet propaganda on it for my FED-2?
I'm probably going to make one but was curious if anyone else had something similar. I had considered getting a decent size strap and affixing pins and patches on it from the USSR
Not a "commie" just you know, when in Rome and all that other stuff. I've done similar things for other cameras I have.

Maybe if I had a ZENIT 
otherwise I need a black or red 5" wide strap to use as a base. Something I can iron patches on or at least safety pin them

I'm looking for the same thing, since I got my first Russian Zenit camera last week.
I even know what I want it to look like, but I haven't been able to find it yet. I'm thinking of a strap made from an old Soviet flag. All red, with the hammer and sickle on the left side of the strap. Backed by nice, black leather. Something that smells old and reminds one of vodka, caviar, Kalashnikovs and suicidal novelists.
Etsy.com is usually a great place to find themed camera straps, but I haven't found anything to my liking there yet.

Beware of some of those Zenit neck-straps. I have one and I only use it when I'm wearing a turtle-neck sweater: the strap is made of a really rough fabric (feels like sandpaper) and seems able to peel the skin from the back of my neck. A very uncomfortable feeling, to say the least. On the positive side, it does not slip and I'm sure it will last forever...
But maybe there are some smoother versions.
