Jorge,
wonderful forum, I'm so glad I joined. I recently received the Canon GIII Q-17, curiosity compelled me to check the exposure indicator against my exposure meter, and I was baffled as to why there was such a discrepancy in readings. Now, you mention that the use of battery PX625A may cause that readings are off. Who distributes the adaptor?

A cheaper solution is to use any sliver oxide battery plus liberal amounts of aluminium foil and set the film speed to 2/3 of a stop lower (e.g. 260 if you are using 400 speed film). I figured this out by metering off a flat wall and comparing to the reading with a mercury battery.

The voltage discharge curve for a silver oxide battery is flat like mercury, so you don't need the zener diode as you would with an alkalide battery.
