Spectra MB should look like this?

I've come across this ratty-looking Spectra MD in a thrift store, asking AUD$15. It has masking tape across the bottom with "WARDROBE" on it so I assume it's been used in a theatre or similar. It's worth a punt to me as long as nothing's broken, which leads me to ask if the small window on the front between the word "Lens" and the small red light is how it should look? Is there something missing there or is that how it should be? There seems to be a small something inside that hole that looks like a glossy chip with some piano-key like parts across the top of it - about the same size as a SIM card:

Appreciate any advice from someone who owns one.

I just checked my Spectra (looks to be the same as yours, but not an MB). Mine looks 100% identical to yours, including the "piano key" thingie between the lens and the red dot.
